7. Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following table for common issues and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not turn on. | No power supply. Power cord not securely plugged in. Power outlet malfunction. | Ensure the unit is plugged into a working, grounded outlet. Check the power cord connection. Try a different outlet. |
| Unit is running but not collecting water / not dehumidifying. | Water tank is full. Air filter is clogged. Room humidity is already low. Air intake/exhaust blocked. | Empty the water tank. Clean the air filter. The unit may not need to dehumidify if humidity is below target. Ensure proper clearance around the unit. |
| Unusual chemical smell during operation. | Initial operation odor from desiccant material. | This is normal for new desiccant dehumidifiers and typically dissipates within a few days to a week of continuous use. Ensure adequate ventilation during initial operation. |
| Water leakage from the unit. | Water tank not properly seated. Continuous drain hose not securely connected or improperly sloped. | Ensure the water tank is fully inserted and clicked into place. Check the continuous drain hose connection and ensure it has a continuous downward slope to the drain point. |
| Unit is noisy. | Fan speed set to High. Unit not on a level surface. Obstruction in fan or vents. | Switch to Low fan speed for quieter operation. Ensure the unit is placed on a stable, level surface. Check for any foreign objects blocking the air vents. |
