4. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future transport if needed.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around the air inlet and outlet to allow for proper airflow. The unit is designed for areas up to 33 square meters.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded 220V, 50Hz electrical outlet.
  4. Water Tank: Ensure the water collection tank is correctly inserted into the unit.

5. Operating Instructions

The control panel allows you to manage various functions of your dehumidifier.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the POWER OFF/ON button to turn the unit on or off.

5.2 Mode Selection

Press the SELEZIONE button to cycle through available operating modes:

  • AUTO: The unit automatically adjusts dehumidification based on the ambient humidity.
  • MINIMO (Minimum): Operates at a lower fan speed for quieter operation.
  • ANTIMUFFA (Anti-mold): Designed to prevent mold growth by maintaining optimal humidity levels.
  • BASSA TEMP (Low Temp): Optimized for effective operation in cooler environments.
  • BUCATO (Laundry): Maximizes dehumidification to help dry laundry faster indoors.

5.3 Humidity Level Setting

  • Press the LIVELLO UMIDITA button to set your desired humidity level. The display will show the target percentage.

5.4 Timer Function

  • Use the OFF/ON TIMER button to set a specific time for the unit to turn on or off automatically.

5.5 Deflector Adjustment

  • Press the DEFLETTORI button to adjust the direction of the airflow. Deflectors can be set to fixed positions or oscillate.

5.6 Air Purification

  • Activate the PURIFICATORE D'ARIA function to circulate air through the filter, helping to remove dust and other particles.

5.7 Internal Drying

  • The ASCIUGATURA INTERNA function helps dry the internal components of the dehumidifier, preventing mold and maintaining optimal performance. It typically runs for about an hour.

5.8 Water Tank Management

  • The unit has a 3-liter water tank. When the tank is full, the TARICA PIENA indicator will illuminate, and the unit will automatically shut off.
  • Carefully remove the tank, empty the collected water, and reinsert it securely.
  • For continuous operation, a continuous drainage hose can be connected to the port at the back of the unit (hose not included).

5.9 Child Lock

  • To prevent unintended operation, activate the BLOCCO BAMBINI (Child Lock) function by pressing and holding the designated button (refer to control panel image for exact location).

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your dehumidifier.

6.1 Air Filter Cleaning

The air filter should be cleaned regularly to maintain optimal performance.

  1. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier.
  2. Remove the front panel to access the air filter.
  3. Gently remove the filter.
  4. Wash the filter with mild detergent and water every 15 days.
  5. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting.
  6. The filter should be replaced after approximately 8 washes or when visibly worn.

6.2 Water Tank Cleaning

  • Clean the water tank periodically with mild soap and water to prevent mold and bacterial growth. Rinse thoroughly.

6.3 Internal Drying Function

  • Utilize the ASCIUGATURA INTERNA function regularly, especially before storing the unit, to dry internal components and prevent odors or mold.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Unit does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. Ensure the power outlet is functional. Verify the water tank is correctly inserted and not full.
  • No water collected: Check if the humidity level setting is lower than the current room humidity. Ensure the air filter is clean. Verify the room temperature is within the operating range.
  • Unit is noisy: Ensure the unit is on a stable, level surface. Check for any obstructions in the air inlet or outlet. Clean the air filter if it is clogged.
  • Dehumidification is insufficient: Ensure doors and windows are closed in the area of operation. Check if the room size exceeds the unit's capacity (33 square meters). Clean the air filter.
  • Tank Full indicator remains on after emptying: Ensure the water tank is fully and correctly reinserted.
