2. Package Contents

3. Setup and Installation
3.1. Receiver Battery Installation
Each receiver requires 2 Mignon (AA) batteries (not included). To install:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each receiver.
- Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.2. Transmitter (Bell Push Button) Installation
The transmitter comes with a pre-installed CR2032 button cell battery. It is waterproof and can be mounted using the provided double-sided adhesive tape.
- Choose a suitable location for the transmitter near your door, ensuring it is easily accessible to visitors.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure good adhesion.
- Peel off the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it to the back of the transmitter.
- Peel off the remaining protective film and firmly press the transmitter onto the desired surface for at least 30 seconds.
3.3. Receiver Placement
The receivers are designed for portability and can be placed on a flat surface using their integrated stand or mounted on a wall. For optimal performance, place receivers within the 80-meter operating range of the transmitter, avoiding large metal objects or thick walls that may interfere with the signal.

4. Operating Instructions
The Grundig QH-831A system offers customizable alert options.
4.1. Melody Selection
The system features 6 pre-programmed melodies. To change the melody:
- Locate the Tone Selection Button on the side of the receiver.
- Press this button repeatedly to cycle through the available melodies until you find your preferred tone.
4.2. Volume Adjustment
Adjust the receiver's volume to your preference (low, medium, or high):
- Locate the Volume Control Button on the side of the receiver.
- Press this button to cycle through the volume levels.
4.3. Bell Options (Notification Modes)
The receivers offer three distinct notification modes:
- Bell Only: Acoustic alert.
- Flashing LED Only: Optical alert (red flashing light).
- Bell + Flashing LED: Both acoustic and optical alerts.
To select a bell option, use the dedicated button on the receiver to cycle through these modes.
4.4. Writable Name Field
The transmitter features a writable name field, allowing you to personalize it or provide instructions to visitors.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Battery Replacement
- Transmitter: When the transmitter's signal weakens or stops working, replace the CR2032 button cell battery. Open the transmitter casing carefully to access the battery.
- Receivers: When the receivers' sound becomes faint or they stop responding, replace the 2 AA batteries in each unit. Refer to Section 3.1 for instructions.
Always dispose of old batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
5.2. Cleaning
Wipe the doorbell units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface.
