Setup Guide

1. Battery Installation

The TECKNET Wireless Mouse requires two AA batteries (not included). To install:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Gently slide the cover off to reveal the battery slots.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.

2. Connecting the USB Receiver

The mouse uses a tiny USB receiver for wireless connectivity.

  1. The USB receiver is stored inside the battery compartment for convenience. Remove it from its slot.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer (PC, Chromebook, Mac, or Linux device).
  3. Turn on the mouse using the ON/OFF switch located on the underside of the mouse.
  4. Your computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. The mouse is ready for use once detected.

Operating Your Mouse

The TECKNET Wireless Mouse features 6 buttons for versatile control:

  • Left Button: Standard click function.
  • Right Button: Standard right-click function.
  • Anti-slip Scroller (Scroll Wheel): Scroll up or down through documents and web pages. Can also be clicked for middle-click functionality.
  • DPI Switch: Located below the scroll wheel. Press to cycle through 6 adjustable DPI levels (800/1200/1600/2400/3200/4800) to change cursor sensitivity. A light indicator will flash to show the current DPI setting.
  • Forward Button: Located on the left side, typically used for navigating forward in web browsers or file explorers.
  • Back Button: Located on the left side, typically used for navigating backward in web browsers or file explorers.

Adjusting DPI Sensitivity

Press the DPI switch button to instantly change the cursor speed and precision. Each press cycles to the next DPI level, allowing you to adapt to different tasks, from precise graphic design to fast-paced gaming.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The mouse is designed for long battery life (up to 30 months). When the mouse's performance degrades or the light indicator (if present) signals low battery, replace the two AA batteries following the installation steps in the Setup Guide.

Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean your mouse:
