4.3 Threading the Line
The reel comes pre-spooled with fishing line. To thread the line:
- Open the bail arm of the reel.
- Pass the line through all the guides on the rod, starting from the guide closest to the reel and working towards the tip.
- Once the line is through all guides, you can attach your desired rig (e.g., feeder, hook, weight) from the accessory box.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Casting
- Hold the rod firmly with both hands.
- Open the bail arm of the reel.
- Bring the rod back over your shoulder, then smoothly cast forward, releasing the line with your index finger as the rod reaches the desired angle.
- Close the bail arm immediately after the cast to prevent tangles.

5.2 Reeling and Drag System
The reel features an S-Stroke system for perfectly aligned line lay and a finely adjustable rear drag with an anti-slip knob and multi-disc brake system.
- To retrieve line, turn the reel handle clockwise.
- Adjust the rear drag knob to control the tension on the line. A tighter drag prevents line from being pulled out easily, while a looser drag allows line to be released under pressure, preventing line breakage when fighting a fish.

6. Maintenance
- After each use, wipe down the rod and reel with a damp cloth to remove dirt, salt, or debris.
- Ensure the reel is dry before storing. Avoid submerging the reel in water.
- Periodically apply a small amount of reel oil to moving parts of the reel (e.g., handle shaft, bail arm pivot points) to ensure smooth operation.
- Store the rod in its protective bag in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Retract the telescopic rod sections carefully after use, starting from the butt section.
7. Troubleshooting
- Line Tangles: Ensure the bail arm is closed immediately after casting. Check for loose line on the spool.
- Stiff Reel Handle: Apply a small amount of reel oil to the handle shaft and internal gears. Check for debris obstructing movement.
- Rod Sections Sticking: Gently twist and pull to separate. Avoid excessive force. Clean the inside of the sections if dirt is present.
- Drag Not Working: Check if the drag knob is too loose or too tight. Ensure no debris is caught in the drag system.
