Operating Instructions
The Tach-It 3567 is designed for semi-automatic operation, providing quick and secure closures.
Tying a Bag or Bundle
- Ensure the machine is powered on using the switch located on the front.
- Gather the neck of the bag or bundle to be tied. The machine has a 1/2-inch tying capacity.
- Insert the gathered portion of the bag or bundle into the machine's tying head.
- Press down gently on the top of the machine. The machine will automatically apply a 4-twist extra tight closure and cut the ribbon.

The machine uses only a 3-inch piece of twist tie ribbon per closure, which is 25% less than competitive machines, offering significant material savings.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Tach-It 3567 machine, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
- Ribbon Path: Periodically check the ribbon path for any accumulated dust or small ribbon fragments that could impede smooth feeding. Use a soft brush or compressed air to clear.
- Blade Inspection: Inspect the cutting blade for any signs of wear or dullness. A sharp blade ensures clean cuts and prevents ribbon fraying. Contact customer support for blade replacement if necessary.
- Power Off: Always unplug the machine from the power source before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Tach-It 3567, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- Ribbon Jamming: The machine features a jam-resistant straight line ribbon feed. If a jam occurs, first power off and unplug the machine. Carefully remove any jammed ribbon from the feeding mechanism. Ensure the ribbon is loaded correctly and not twisted.
- Inconsistent Twists: Check the quality and type of twist tie ribbon being used. Ensure it is compatible with the machine (paper/plastic, plastic/plastic, decorative metallic, or Polycore 17-2000 non-metallic ribbons). Also, ensure the bag/bundle is properly inserted and held firmly.
- Machine Not Powering On: Verify that the power cord is securely plugged into both the machine and a working electrical outlet. Check the power switch position.
- Unusual Noises: If the machine makes unusual noises, power it off immediately and unplug it. Inspect for any visible obstructions or loose components. Do not attempt to repair internal mechanisms yourself. Contact customer support.
