Setup and Installation
Important: Installation should be performed by a qualified professional or someone with adequate plumbing experience. Always shut off the main water supply before beginning installation.
- Prepare the System: Turn off the main water supply to the area where the filter housing is located. Open a nearby faucet to relieve pressure in the lines.
- Access Filter Housing: Locate your BWT NDL2 filter housing. Depending on your setup, you may need a filter wrench to open the housing.
- Remove Old Cartridge (if applicable): Carefully unscrew the filter housing sump. Remove the old cartridge and dispose of it properly.
- Clean Housing: Clean the inside of the filter housing sump with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Inspect the O-ring for any damage; replace if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring with a food-grade silicone grease if recommended by the housing manufacturer.
- Insert New Cartridge: Unwrap the new BWT CR10 cartridge. Insert the cartridge into the filter housing, ensuring it is seated correctly in the center standpipe.
- Reassemble Housing: Carefully screw the filter housing sump back onto the cap. Hand-tighten first, then use a filter wrench for a snug fit. Do not overtighten.
- Restore Water Supply: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check for leaks around the filter housing.
- Flush System: Open a nearby cold water faucet and allow water to run for several minutes (e.g., 5-10 minutes) to flush out any air and fine carbon particles from the new cartridge. The water may appear cloudy initially; this is normal and will clear.

Operating Instructions
Once installed and flushed, the BWT CR10 cartridge operates automatically as water flows through your filtration system. No further user interaction is required for its daily function.
- Ensure the water pressure remains within the specified limits (Maximum Pressure: 5 Bars).
- The cartridge is designed for cold water applications; do not exceed the maximum water temperature of 45 degrees C.

Troubleshooting

- Reduced Water Flow:
- Cause: Clogged filter cartridge.
