  1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent damage. Refer to the parts list (usually included in the physical manual) to identify each piece.
  2. Assemble the Base: Attach the base components to the bottom panel of the lower cabinet section according to the provided diagrams.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting Shelves

The upper cabinet features two adjustable shelves, and the lower cabinet has one adjustable shelf. To adjust a shelf:

  1. Empty the shelf of all contents.
  2. Carefully lift the shelf and remove the four shelf pins supporting it.
  3. Re-insert the shelf pins into the desired set of holes at the new height. Ensure all four pins are securely in place and level.
  4. Place the shelf back onto the pins. Gently test its stability before placing items on it.

Note: Each adjustable shelf has a weight limit of 15 pounds. Distribute weight evenly to prevent bowing or damage.

Using the Drawer

The central drawer operates on full-extension ball-bearing glides, allowing for smooth opening and closing and full access to its contents. To open, gently pull the handle. To close, push the drawer until it is fully seated.

Caution: Avoid placing excessively heavy items in the drawer to ensure smooth operation and prevent damage to the glides or drawer bottom.

Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the wood finish.
  • Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent moisture damage or staining.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain structural integrity.
  • Sunlight Exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause fading or discoloration of the finish.
  • Humidity: Maintain a consistent humidity level in the room to prevent wood from expanding or contracting, which can lead to cracks or warping.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Issue: Cabinet feels wobbly or unstable.
Solution: Ensure all cam locks, screws, and dowels are fully tightened. Verify the cabinet is on a level surface. If necessary, use shims under the base. Consider securing the cabinet to a wall with anti-tip hardware.
  • Issue: Doors do not align or close properly.
Solution: Check hinge attachments to ensure they are securely fastened. Most hinges allow for minor adjustments; refer to the specific hinge instructions if available. Ensure the cabinet itself is level.
  • Issue: Drawer does not slide smoothly.
Solution: Check that the drawer glides are correctly installed and aligned. Ensure no obstructions are in the glide tracks. Avoid overloading the drawer.
  • Issue: Strong odor from the cabinet.
Solution: New furniture can sometimes emit odors from manufacturing processes. Allow the cabinet to air out in a well-ventilated area for several days or weeks. Ensure good air circulation in the room where it is placed.
