6. Setup and Installation
6.1 Power Connection
- Identify the power input options: a 2-pin terminal block (PWR) and a DC barrel jack.
- Connect a +12V to 24V DC power supply to either the terminal block or the DC barrel jack. Ensure correct polarity if using the terminal block (positive to +V, negative to GND).
- The 'PWR' LED indicator on the front panel will illuminate when power is successfully supplied.
6.2 Host Connection
The hub supports dual upstream hosts. You can connect one or two host computers.
- Using the provided USB-A to USB-B cable, connect the USB-B end to either the 'UP-A' or 'UP-B' upstream port on the hub.

7. Operation
7.1 Host Selection
The hub features a host selection switch and corresponding LEDs ('A' and 'B') to indicate which upstream port is active.
- If only one host is connected, the hub will automatically detect and connect to it. The corresponding LED (A or B) will illuminate.
- If two hosts are connected, use the 'A/B' switch on the front panel to select which host controls the downstream USB ports.
- The active host's LED will light up, indicating which host has control of the connected devices.
7.2 Data Transfer
Once connected, the hub operates as a standard USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub, allowing data transfer at speeds up to 5Gbps between the active host and connected devices. Ensure your host computer and connected devices support USB 3.2 Gen 1 for optimal performance.
