4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

The PORTER-CABLE PCC670B is a tool-only unit. A 20V MAX lithium-ion battery and charger (sold separately) are required for operation.

  1. Ensure the saw's trigger is in the OFF position.
  2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool.
  3. Slide the battery pack into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove the battery, press the release button on the battery pack and slide it out.

4.2. Blade Installation and Removal

This saw features a tool-free blade release for quick and easy blade changes.

  1. To Install a Blade: Rotate the blade clamp collar counter-clockwise. Insert the blade shank fully into the clamp. Release the collar to secure the blade. Tug on the blade to ensure it is firmly seated.
  2. To Remove a Blade: Rotate the blade clamp collar counter-clockwise. The blade will release.

5. Operation
