4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly requires careful attention to detail. It is highly recommended to have two people for this process. An electric screwdriver (low torque setting) and the included Allen wrench will be useful.

1. Unpacking: Carefully unpack all components. Lay glass panels on a soft, flat surface to prevent scratches or breakage.
2. Base Assembly: Assemble the base and legs according to the provided diagrams. Ensure all screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten.
3. Side and Back Panels:
   • Attach the plastic strips to the edges of the largest glass panel (back panel).
   • Instead of attaching the back panel to the base immediately, take one side panel and fit it into the plastic channel of the back panel, forming an 'L' shape.
   • Then, take the third glass panel (the other side panel) and fit it into the plastic, creating a 'U' shape.
   • Carefully lift this 'U' shaped assembly and set it into the corresponding slots on the assembled base. This method can simplify the process and reduce the risk of glass panels falling.
4. Top Panel: Secure the top panel to the assembled frame.
5. Shelf Supports: Install the shelf supports at your desired heights. Ensure they are level and securely fastened.
6. Glass Shelves: Carefully place the five tempered glass shelves onto the installed supports. Ensure they are seated properly.
7. Doors:
   • Attach the push-to-open door mechanisms and hinges to the glass doors. It is easier to attach the lower hinge to the glass door while it is lying flat.
   • Start the screws for the top hinge slightly.
   • Lean the door into the lower hinge point, tilt it up, and then tighten the upper hinge to secure the door.
   • Adjust hinges as needed to ensure doors close and open freely and are level.
   • Apply the small plastic cushions (suction cups) to the inside of the frame where the glass shelves meet the side panels to prevent movement and potential damage.
8. Tip-Over Restraint: Install the tip-over restraint system to a wall stud using appropriate hardware. This is a critical safety step.

5. Operating Instructions

The Delphinium Curio Cabinet features magnetic push-to-open doors for easy access.

• Opening: Gently push on the door panel. The magnetic latch will release, allowing the door to swing open.
• Closing: Push the door firmly until you hear a click, indicating the magnetic latch has engaged and the door is securely closed.

6. Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your curio cabinet.

• Glass Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Spray cleaner onto the cloth, not directly onto the glass, to avoid streaks and residue on the wood frame.
