2. Safety Information

General Safety Precautions:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety goggles (included), gloves, and hearing protection.
- Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, especially children and pets.
- Operate the mulcher on a stable, level surface. Utilize the adjustable legs to ensure balance.
- Do not operate the machine in wet conditions or rain.
- Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when the machine is not in use.
- Never place hands or any body part into the shredder opening while the machine is running. Use the provided hand rakes or a stick to push material.

3. Assembly Instructions

- Attach Legs: Insert each of the three telescopic legs into the designated slots on the main motor unit. Ensure they click securely into place.

- Place Collection Bin: Position the large black collection bin on top of the main motor unit. Ensure it sits flush and is stable.

- Attach Waste Bag: Secure a paper or plastic waste bag to the bottom of the mulcher using the integrated bungee cord bag clamp. This ensures the shredded material is collected efficiently.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Preparation:
- Ensure the mulcher is assembled correctly and placed on a stable surface.
- Connect the mulcher to a suitable power outlet using a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord.
- Wear all recommended personal protective equipment, including safety goggles.
4.2 Shredding Leaves and Debris:
- Power On: Press the green power button to start the mulcher. The motor will reach its operating speed of 8000 RPM.

- Feed Material: Use the provided hand rakes to feed leaves and other soft yard debris into the top opening of the mulcher. Do not overload the machine.

- Adjust Shredding Setting: The mulcher features an adjustable setting for coarse or fine shredding, suitable for dry or wet leaves. Rotate the dial on the side of the unit to select your desired consistency.

- Monitor Bag: Periodically check the collection bag and empty it when full to prevent clogging and maintain optimal performance. The mulcher can reduce 12 bags of leaves to 1.

4.3 Using Mulched Material:

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning:
- Always disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
- Remove any accumulated debris from the shredding chamber and around the motor housing.
- Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
5.2 Trimmer Line Replacement:
The mulcher uses standard .095-inch trimmer line. Replace lines when they become worn or broken to maintain shredding efficiency. The YF8000 features a no-tools quick-change line replacement system.
