Setup and Pairing
The FC30 controller supports multiple connection modes for different devices. Ensure the controller is charged before attempting to pair.
1. Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press the START button.
- To Power Off: Press and hold START for 3 seconds.
2. Pairing Modes
The FC30 controller has different startup key combinations to enter specific pairing modes:
- X-Input Mode (Windows/Android): Press and hold START + X for 1 second. The blue LED will blink rapidly.
- D-Input Mode (Android/Windows): Press and hold START + B for 1 second. The blue LED will blink rapidly.
- Mac Mode: Press and hold START + A for 1 second. The blue LED will blink rapidly.
- Nintendo Switch Mode: Press and hold START + Y for 1 second. The blue LED will blink rapidly.
After entering the desired mode, enable Bluetooth on your device and select "8Bitdo FC30" from the list of available devices to complete pairing. The blue LED will become solid upon successful connection.
Operating Instructions
Once paired, the FC30 controller functions as a standard gamepad. The button layout is intuitive, mirroring classic controllers:
- D-Pad: Directional input.
- A, B, X, Y Buttons: Action buttons, their function depends on the game or application.
- SELECT Button: Typically used for menu selection or secondary functions.
- START Button: Typically used to pause games or confirm selections.
Some games or emulators may require button remapping within their settings for optimal performance.
Charging the Controller
The FC30 controller is powered by a built-in rechargeable Lithium-polymer battery.
- Connect the supplied USB charging cable to the micro-USB port on the top edge of the controller.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- The red LED indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when the battery is fully charged.
- A full charge typically takes approximately 1-2 hours.
Maintenance
