Key Features:

Setup

The Weber Q1000 grill comes fully assembled, simplifying the initial setup process. Follow these steps to prepare your grill for first use:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the grill from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Place the grill on a stable, level, non-combustible surface outdoors, away from any flammable materials or structures. Ensure adequate clearance from walls and other objects.
  3. LP Cylinder Connection:

    • Ensure the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
    • Screw a new 14.1 or 16.4 oz. disposable LP cylinder (sold separately) into the regulator connection on the side of the grill. Hand-tighten only. Do not overtighten.
    • Check for gas leaks by applying a soapy water solution to the connection point. Bubbles indicate a leak. If a leak is detected, tighten the connection or replace the cylinder. Do not operate the grill if a leak is present.
  4. Burn-Off: Before cooking for the first time, operate the grill on high for 15 minutes with the lid closed to burn off any manufacturing residues.

Operating the Grill

Lighting the Grill:

  1. Ensure the LP cylinder is securely connected and the control knob is in the "OFF" position.
  2. Open the grill lid.
  3. Turn the control knob to the "START/HIGH" position.
  4. Immediately press and hold the push-button igniter.

  5. Once the burner ignites, release the igniter button.
  6. If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the control knob to "OFF", wait 5 minutes for gas to dissipate, and repeat the lighting procedure.
