3. Setup

3.1 Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown (located on the right side of the watch case) out to position 2.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 (normal operating position).

3.2 Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise to advance the date. If the date changes during the day, advance it by 24 hours.
  3. Once the date is set, push the crown back into position 0.

Note: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.

3.3 Adjusting the Bracelet

The stainless steel bracelet may require adjustment to fit your wrist comfortably. This typically involves removing or adding links. It is recommended to have this procedure performed by a qualified jeweler or watch technician to prevent damage to the bracelet or clasp.

4. Operating Your Watch

4.1 Unidirectional Rotating Bezel

The watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel. This bezel can be rotated counter-clockwise to mark elapsed time. Align the triangle marker on the bezel with the minute hand at the start of an event. The minute hand's position relative to the bezel's scale will then indicate the elapsed time.

4.2 Water Resistance

The Invicta Pro Diver Model 15179 has a water resistance rating of 100 meters (330 feet). This makes it suitable for swimming and snorkeling. However, it is not recommended for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.2 Battery Replacement

This watch is powered by a Swiss Quartz movement, which requires a battery. When the watch stops running, the battery needs to be replaced. It is strongly recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watchmaker to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
