Operating Instructions
Time and Date Setting
- Pull the Crown: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to position 2 (the outermost position). The second hand will stop.
- Set the Time: Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. To ensure the AM/PM is set correctly, advance the time until the date changes. If the date changes at noon, you are 12 hours off.
- Set the Date: Push the crown in to position 1 (the middle position). Rotate the crown to set the date. Note: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the date change mechanism.
- Push the Crown In: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 0 (the innermost position) to start the watch.
Chronograph Function
The chronograph function allows you to measure elapsed time. Your watch features three sub-dials for seconds, minutes, and hours of elapsed time.
- Start: Press the upper pusher (button) to start the chronograph. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
- Stop: Press the upper pusher again to stop the chronograph. The elapsed time will be displayed on the sub-dials.
- Reset: With the chronograph stopped, press the lower pusher to reset all chronograph hands to their zero positions.
INDIGLO® Night-Light
To activate the INDIGLO® night-light, press and hold the crown. The entire dial will illuminate for easy reading in low-light conditions. Release the crown to turn off the light.
Water Resistance
This watch is water resistant to 50 meters (164 feet). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not for diving or snorkeling. Avoid operating the crown or pushers while the watch is wet to prevent water intrusion.
- 50M (5 ATM): Suitable for showering, swimming in shallow water. Not suitable for diving or prolonged submersion.
- Important: Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may eventually be compromised by wear and tear or accidental damage. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water.
Maintenance
Cleaning Your Watch
To maintain the appearance of your watch, regularly wipe the case and band with a soft, dry cloth. For stainless steel bands, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.
Battery Replacement
Your watch is powered by a quartz movement and requires a battery. When the battery runs low, the watch may stop or the INDIGLO® light may dim. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
Storage
When not in use, store your watch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keeping it in its original box or a watch case can help protect it from dust and scratches.
