Setup

1. Charging the Speaker

Before initial use, fully charge your SOL REPUBLIC Deck speaker. Use the provided mini USB cable to connect the speaker to a power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter).

• The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging.
• A full charge typically takes approximately 2-3 hours.
• The speaker will announce its battery level when powered on.

2. Powering On/Off

To power on the speaker, press and hold the power button located on the side of the device until you hear an audible confirmation. To power off, press and hold the power button again.

3. Pairing with Bluetooth Devices

The SOL REPUBLIC Deck supports EasyPair Bluetooth for quick and simple connection.

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in pairing mode (indicated by a flashing light, typically blue).
2. On your audio device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select "SOL REPUBLIC Deck" from the list of found devices.
4. Once paired, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation, and the indicator light will become solid.

4. NFC Pairing (Near Field Communication)

For devices with NFC capability, pairing can be even faster:

1. Ensure NFC is enabled on your audio device.
2. Tap your NFC-enabled device gently against the NFC logo on the SOL REPUBLIC Deck.
3. Confirm the pairing request on your device.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Controls

• Volume Up/Down: Use the dedicated volume buttons on the speaker or your connected device.
• Play/Pause: Press the multi-function button (often the power button or a dedicated play/pause button, refer to device markings).
• Track Skip: Double-press the multi-function button for next track, triple-press for previous track (functionality may vary by device).

2. Heist Mode (Multi-Device Pairing)

The SOL REPUBLIC Deck allows up to 5 devices to connect simultaneously, enabling multiple users to control the music. This feature is called Heist Mode.

1. Ensure the first device is paired via Bluetooth.
2. To add another device, simply pair it via Bluetooth or NFC as described in the Setup section. The speaker will automatically enter Heist Mode.
3. The "SOL" logo on the speaker will change color to indicate which connected device is currently playing music.
4. Any connected device can "heist" control by simply starting playback, overriding the current audio source.

3. Outdoor Mode

For enhanced sound projection in outdoor environments, activate Outdoor Mode. This mode adjusts the audio profile to increase volume and clarity over longer distances.

• Press the dedicated "Outdoor Mode" button (refer to device markings for location).
• Press again to deactivate Outdoor Mode.

4. Speakerphone Functionality

The SOL REPUBLIC Deck features a built-in microphone for hands-free calling when connected to a smartphone.

• When a call comes in, the music will pause.
• Press the multi-function button once to answer the call.
• Press the multi-function button again to end the call.
• To reject a call, press and hold the multi-function button.

5. Stereo-Out Jack and Daisy Chaining

The speaker includes a Stereo-Out jack, allowing you to connect it to other audio systems or daisy-chain multiple SOL REPUBLIC Deck speakers for a larger sound experience.

• Connect a 3.5mm audio cable from the "OUT" port of your Deck speaker to the audio input of another speaker or stereo system.
• You can also connect the "OUT" port of one Deck to the "IN" port of another Deck to create a synchronized audio setup.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

• Wipe the speaker's exterior with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays.
• Avoid exposing the speaker to excessive moisture. The device is not waterproof.

2. Battery Care

• To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
• If storing the speaker for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% and store in a cool, dry place.
• Recharge the battery every few months if not in use to prevent deep discharge.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect it to a power source using the mini USB cable.
• Cannot Pair via Bluetooth:
  • Ensure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing indicator light).
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your audio device.
  • Move the speaker closer to your device.
  • Turn off and on both the speaker and your audio device.
  • Clear the speaker from your device's Bluetooth history and attempt to pair again.
• No Sound or Low Volume:
  • Check the volume levels on both the speaker and your connected audio device.
  • Ensure the speaker is properly paired and connected.
  • If using the Stereo-Out jack, ensure the external system is powered on and set to the correct input.
• Audio Distortion:
  • Reduce the volume on both the speaker and your audio device.

• Connection Drops Frequently:
