Setup
1. Powering the Device (Batteries)
The SC251 Personal CD Player requires two (2) 'AA' batteries for operation (not included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the CD player.
- Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Insert two 'AA' batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.
2. Connecting Earphones
The SC251 comes with high-quality stereo earphones. To connect them:
- Locate the 3.5mm headphone jack on the side of the CD player.
- Insert the earphone plug firmly into the headphone jack.
Note: For optimal sound quality and to prevent damage, use only the provided earphones or compatible 3.5mm stereo headphones.
Operating Instructions
1. Loading a CD
- Gently press the 'OPEN' button or slide the latch to open the CD compartment lid.
- Place a CD (CD-R/CD-RW compatible) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up. Ensure the CD is seated properly.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it clicks.
2. Basic Playback Controls
- PLAY/PAUSE (►/−−) Button: Press once to start playback. Press again to pause. Press again to resume playback.
- STOP (■) Button: Press to stop playback.
- SKIP FORWARD (►►) Button: Press once to skip to the next track. Press and hold to fast-forward within a track.
- SKIP BACKWARD (◄◄) Button: Press once to skip to the beginning of the current track. Press twice to skip to the previous track. Press and hold to fast-rewind within a track.
3. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the dedicated volume dial or buttons, typically located on the side of the unit. Rotate or press to increase or decrease the sound level.
4. Playback Modes (Random, Repeat, Program)
The SC251 supports various playback modes:
