4. Setup

The Cuisinart Chef's Style Tabletop Grill is designed for quick and easy setup, typically in less than 10 minutes with no tools required.

Initial Assembly:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Position: Place the grill on a stable, level, non-combustible surface. Ensure adequate clearance from combustible materials (minimum 24 inches from back and sides).
  3. Unfold Legs: Extend the folding legs until they lock securely into place.
  4. Connect Propane Tank:
    • Ensure the grill's burner knobs are in the "OFF" position.
    • Connect the propane regulator hose to a standard 20 lb. propane tank. Hand-tighten securely.
    • Open the propane tank valve slowly to allow gas to flow.

5. Operating Instructions

Lighting the Main Burner:

  1. Read Instructions: Always read instructions before lighting.
  2. Open Lid: Make sure the grill lid is open during lighting.
  3. Ignite: Push and turn the main burner knob slowly to "IGNITE/HIGH". Keep the knob pressed in until the burner is lit (typically within 3 seconds).
  4. Troubleshooting Ignition: If ignition does not occur within 5 seconds, turn the knob to "OFF", wait 5 minutes, and repeat the lighting procedure. If the burner still does not light up after step 3, turn the knob to "OFF" and repeat the lighting procedure or light by match.

Temperature Control:

The grill features two independently controlled burners, each providing 10,000 BTUs of heat. This allows for creating separate heat zones for cooking different foods simultaneously. Use the individual control knobs to adjust the flame intensity from low to high. The built-in thermometer on the lid provides accurate temperature readings inside the grill, allowing for precise heat management.
