Setup

Battery Installation

The Gima OXY-50 requires 4 AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
  2. Slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
  3. Insert the 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Initial Power On

Operating Instructions

Taking a Measurement

Follow these steps to obtain an accurate SpO2 and pulse rate reading:

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Open the clamp of the finger probe.
  3. Insert your finger into the probe, ensuring it is fully seated and the sensor is on the top of your finger. The probe should be placed on a clean, dry finger.
  4. Release the clamp. Do not move your hand or finger during the measurement process.
  5. The device will automatically begin measuring SpO2 and pulse rate. Readings will appear on the color OLED display.
  6. Once the reading stabilizes, you can record the values. Remove your finger from the probe to turn off the device automatically after a few seconds.

Understanding the Display

The 1.8-inch color OLED display provides the following information:

  • %SpO2: Oxygen Saturation level, displayed as a percentage.
  • PR bpm: Pulse Rate in beats per minute.
  • Pulse Bar Graph: A visual representation of pulse strength.
  • Plethysmograph Waveform: A real-time graphical display of the pulse.

  • Audible Signal Indicator: Indicates if the pulse tone is active.

Alarm Settings

The device features adjustable high and low alarm limits for SpO2 and pulse rate. To adjust these settings:

  1. Press the 'Menu' button to enter the settings menu.
  2. Use the navigation buttons (Up/Down) to select 'Alarm Settings'.
  3. Press 'Menu' again to enter the alarm settings sub-menu.
  4. Adjust the desired high and low limits for SpO2 and PR using the navigation buttons.

Data Recording and Transfer

Maintenance

Cleaning

To ensure hygiene and proper functioning:

  • Clean the device surface and the finger probe with a soft cloth dampened with a mild disinfectant, such as 70% isopropyl alcohol.
  • Do not immerse the device in any liquid.
  • Ensure the device is completely dry before its next use.

Battery Replacement
