Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the hot water dispenser from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future storage or transport.
- Inspection: Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact your supplier.
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation. The non-slip rubber feet provide stability.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the interior of the dispenser and the lid with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Power Connection: Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position. Plug the 3-foot power cord (NEMA 5-15 plug) into a grounded 120V AC electrical outlet. The unit requires 1350W and 11.25 Amps.
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Unit: Remove the lid and manually fill the dispenser with clean water. Do not fill above the "MAX" fill line indicated on the interior or water level gauge. The unit has a 100-cup (6.25 gallon) capacity.
- Securing the Lid: Place the lid securely back onto the dispenser.
- Powering On: Flip the illuminated power switch to the "ON" position. The switch will light up, indicating the unit is receiving power and beginning to heat.
- Setting Temperature: Use the variable temperature control knob located at the base of the unit to select your desired water temperature. The range is from 85°F to 220°F.
- Heating Process: The unit will begin heating the water. The extra-large encapsulated heating element ensures fast and even heating. Monitor the water level gauge on the side of the unit.
- Dispensing Hot Water: Once the desired temperature is reached, place a cup or container under the spigot. Push down the lever on the spigot to dispense hot water. Release the lever to stop the flow.
- Refilling: If the water level becomes low, turn off the unit, unplug it, and allow it to cool slightly before refilling.
- Transporting: Use the cool-to-touch bakelite handles for safe transportation of the unit when empty or cool.

Care and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Adcraft hot water dispenser.
- Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Wash the interior and exterior stainless steel surfaces with a mild detergent and a soft cloth or sponge.

- Dry all surfaces completely before storing or next use.
- Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up, especially in hard water areas.
- To descale, fill the unit with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- Heat the solution to approximately 150°F (65°C) and let it stand for 30-60 minutes. Do not boil.
- Drain the solution and rinse the interior several times with fresh water to remove any vinegar residue.
- Repeat if necessary.
- Storage: Store the clean and dry unit in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
Before contacting customer service, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not heat. | Not plugged in; power switch off; circuit breaker tripped; faulty power cord/element. | Ensure unit is plugged in and power switch is ON. Check circuit breaker. If problem persists, contact qualified service personnel. |
| Water heats too slowly. | Limescale buildup; insufficient power supply. | Perform descaling procedure. Ensure unit is connected to a dedicated 120V outlet. |
| Water leaks from spigot. | Spigot not fully closed; damaged spigot seal. | Ensure spigot lever is fully released. If leaking continues, the spigot may need replacement or repair by a qualified technician. |
| Water level gauge unclear. | Mineral deposits on gauge. | Clean the exterior of the gauge. If internal, descaling may help. |
