4. Setup
- Prepare the Compressor Unit: Place the Sanitas SIH 21 compressor unit on a clean, stable, and flat surface. Ensure the air filter is clean and properly installed.
- Connect the Air Tube: Firmly attach one end of the air tube to the air outlet on the compressor unit.
- Prepare the Nebulizer Cup: Open the nebulizer cup and pour the prescribed amount of medication or saline solution into the medication chamber. Do not overfill.
- Assemble the Nebulizer: Close the nebulizer cup securely. Attach the other end of the air tube to the bottom inlet of the nebulizer cup.
- Attach the Inhalation Accessory: Depending on your treatment, attach either the mouthpiece, adult mask, or child mask to the top of the nebulizer cup. Ensure a tight fit.

5. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Plug the compressor unit into a suitable electrical outlet. Press the power switch to turn on the device. The compressor will begin to generate air pressure, and the nebulizer will start producing a fine mist.
- Inhale:
- Using the Mouthpiece: Place the mouthpiece between your teeth and seal your lips around it. Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth, then exhale slowly.
- Using a Mask: Place the mask over your nose and mouth, ensuring a snug fit. Breathe normally through your nose and mouth.
- Continue Treatment: Continue inhaling until the medication chamber is empty or until the prescribed treatment time has elapsed. The nebulization performance of approximately 1 ml/min allows for shorter inhalation times.
- Power Off: Once the treatment is complete, press the power switch to turn off the device and unplug it from the electrical outlet.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and disinfection are crucial for the hygienic and effective operation of your inhaler. The entire set is fully disinfectable.
- After Each Use: Disassemble the nebulizer cup, mouthpiece/mask, and air tube. Wash these components with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Disinfection: For thorough disinfection, boil the washed components (excluding the air tube and compressor unit) in distilled water for 5 minutes, or use a cold sterilization solution as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Drying: Allow all components to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.
- Compressor Unit: Wipe the exterior of the compressor unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
- Air Filter: Check the air filter regularly. Replace it if it appears discolored or clogged. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for filter replacement.
- Storage: Store the clean and dry components in the practical storage bin provided with the device, in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.
