2. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage to the unit or injury to yourself, please observe the following precautions:

• Power Supply: Connect the unit only to an AC outlet of the voltage specified on the rear panel. Do not use extension cords or adapters that are not rated for the unit's power consumption.
• Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings or install the unit in a confined space. Allow at least 10 cm (4 inches) of clear space around the unit.

4. Controls and Indicators (Front Panel)

The front panel provides access to all essential controls and indicators for operating your amplifier.

6. Setup

6.1 Connecting Speakers

1. Ensure the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Prepare your speaker cables by stripping approximately 1 cm (0.4 inches) of insulation from the ends.
3. Connect the positive (+) terminal of your speaker to the positive (+) terminal of the amplifier (red).
4. Connect the negative (-) terminal of your speaker to the negative (-) terminal of the amplifier (black).
5. Repeat for all speakers (A and/or B). Ensure correct polarity for all connections.

6.2 Connecting Audio Sources

1. Ensure the amplifier is turned off and unplugged.
2. Use RCA audio cables to connect the output of your audio components (CD player, tuner, turntable, etc.) to the corresponding input jacks on the amplifier's rear panel (CD, TUNER, PHONO, LINE 1, LINE 2).
3. For a turntable, also connect the ground wire from the turntable to the GND terminal on the amplifier.

6.3 Power Connection

After all audio and speaker connections are made, connect the supplied power cable to the Power Cord Inlet on the rear panel, then plug the other end into a suitable AC wall outlet.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Basic Operation

1. Power On/Off: Press the Power button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the unit on or off.
2. Input Selection: Press the desired input selector button (PHONO, CD, TUNER, LINE 1, LINE 2) on the front panel or remote control to choose your audio source.
3. Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Volume knob on the front panel or use the Volume +/- buttons on the remote control to adjust the sound level.
4. Speaker Selection: Use the Speakers A/B buttons to select which pair of speakers is active.

7.2 Tone Control

Use the Bass and Treble knobs on the front panel to adjust the low and high frequencies of the sound. Turning the knob clockwise increases the level, and counter-clockwise decreases it. For a flat, uncolored sound, set both controls to their center (0) position.

7.3 Pure Direct Mode

Press the Pure Direct button to activate this mode. When Pure Direct is engaged, the signal bypasses the tone control and balance circuits, resulting in a shorter, more direct signal path for the purest possible sound quality. The Pure Direct indicator will illuminate when active.

7.4 Using the Phono Input

When playing vinyl records, select the PHONO input. Ensure your turntable is connected to the PHONO input and its ground wire (if applicable) is connected to the GND terminal. The A-S201 supports Moving Magnet (MM) cartridges.

7.5 Headphone Use

Connect your headphones to the Phones jack on the front panel. When headphones are connected, sound output to the speakers will be muted.

8. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with a mild detergent solution, then wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical cloths.
• Storage: If the unit will not be used for an extended period, unplug the power cord and store it in a cool, dry place.
• Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings are not obstructed by dust or debris.
