Setup and Installation

1. Measure Your Cabinet Opening

Accurate measurements are crucial for proper fit and function. Measure the width, height, and depth of the cabinet opening where the tip-out tray will be installed. Ensure there is at least 2-1/4 inches of clearance between the backside of the door and the front of the sink to accommodate the tray.

2. Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Cabinet: Ensure the false drawer front of your sink base cabinet is clean and free of debris.
  2. Position the Trays: Place the tip-out trays behind the false drawer front. The trays are designed to fit securely.
  3. Secure with Hardware: Use the provided mounting hardware to attach the trays to the false drawer front. Ensure screws are tightened firmly but do not overtighten.
  4. Check Clearance: After installation, open and close the false drawer front to confirm smooth operation and that the trays do not interfere with any internal plumbing or cabinet structure.

Operating Instructions

To access the contents of your tip-out tray, gently pull the false drawer front forward. The tray will pivot outwards, providing easy access to stored items. To close, simply push the drawer front back into its original position until it is flush with the cabinet. Avoid slamming the tray to prevent damage to the tabs and hinges.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Rev-A-Shelf product.

  • Wipe Clean: Periodically clean the trays with mild soap and water. Wipe dry promptly. Avoid abrasive cleaners, bleach, and chemicals that can damage the polymer plastic.
  • Adjust: If the tray mechanism becomes loose over time, gently tighten any visible screws on the mounting hardware. Do not overtighten.
  • Grease: The product's pivot points are designed for smooth operation. If lubrication is ever needed, use a good quality multi-purpose grease. Avoid spray lubricants, as they can degrade the mechanism over time.

Troubleshooting

  • Tray does not open/close smoothly: Check for obstructions behind the false drawer front. Ensure mounting screws are not overtightened, which could cause binding. Verify that the cabinet opening measurements were accurate and provide sufficient clearance.
  • Tray feels loose: Inspect all mounting hardware and tighten any loose screws.
  • Tabs appear damaged: While the trays are designed with reinforced tabs for durability, excessive force or improper use can cause damage. Ensure gentle operation.
