5. Setup

5.1 Connecting to a Television

  1. Ensure both the QFX VP109BLK player and your television are turned off.
  2. Connect one end of the supplied AV cables (red, white, yellow RCA connectors) to the corresponding output ports on the rear of the QFX VP109BLK.
  3. Connect the other end of the AV cables to the corresponding input ports on your television. Match the colors (yellow for video, red for right audio, white for left audio).
  4. Alternatively, for digital audio, connect a coaxial cable (not included) from the player's coaxial output to your audio receiver's coaxial input.

5.2 Power Connection

  1. Plug the AC power cord from the QFX VP109BLK into a standard wall outlet.
  2. Turn on your television and select the correct input source (e.g., AV1, Video 1) that corresponds to where you connected the player.
  3. Press the Power button on the front of the player or on the remote control to turn on the unit.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Disc Playback

  1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
  2. Place a DVD, VCD, or CD disc gently onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray. The player will automatically begin reading the disc.
  4. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, and SKIP buttons on the remote control to manage playback.

6.2 USB Media Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the front panel of the player.
  2. The player should automatically detect the USB device and display a menu for selecting media types (e.g., Music, Photo, Video).
  3. Navigate through the folders and files using the arrow keys on the remote control and press ENTER to select.
  4. Supported formats include MP3 for audio.

6.3 Remote Control Functions

The multi-function remote control provides full command over the player's features. Key buttons include:

  • POWER: Turns the unit on/off.
  • SETUP: Accesses the system setup menu.
  • MENU: Returns to the disc or USB menu.
  • TITLE: Returns to the DVD title menu.
  • AUDIO: Changes audio tracks/languages.

  • ZOOM: Magnifies the picture.

  • MUTE: Mutes audio output.
