Carefully remove the MPA40BT-Pro from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage incurred during shipping. If damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.

2.2 Powering On and Charging

Before initial use, it is recommended to fully charge the internal battery. Connect the supplied power cable to the AC input on the unit and then to a suitable power outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge typically takes several hours. The unit can be operated while charging.

2.3 Initial Placement

Place the MPA40BT-Pro on a stable, flat surface or a compatible speaker stand. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Controls Overview

Familiarize yourself with the control panel, typically located on the rear or side of the unit. Key controls include:

  • Master Volume: Adjusts the overall output level of the system.
  • Channel Volume Controls: Individual volume knobs for each input channel.
  • EQ Controls: (If present) Bass and Treble controls to shape the sound.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Input Jacks: XLR and 1/4" inputs for microphones and instruments.

3.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

  1. Power on the MPA40BT-Pro.
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, MP3 player), search for available devices and select "BEHRINGER MPA40BT-Pro".
  4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will become solid. You can now stream audio wirelessly to the PA system.

3.3 Using the 4-Channel Mixer

The integrated 4-channel mixer allows for versatile input options:

  • Channels 1 & 2: Typically feature combo XLR/1/4" inputs for microphones or line-level instruments. Adjust individual channel volume using their respective knobs.
  • Channels 3 & 4: Often dedicated to stereo line-level inputs (e.g., RCA or 1/8" AUX) for connecting external audio sources like laptops or media players, or for the Bluetooth input.

Adjust the master volume to control the overall output level. For optimal sound, set individual channel volumes to a level that prevents clipping (distortion) before adjusting the master volume.

3.4 Wireless System Integration

The MPA40BT-Pro is designed for seamless integration with Behringer ULM series wireless microphones. Refer to the ULM microphone manual for specific pairing instructions. Once paired, the wireless microphone signal will be routed through one of the mixer channels.

Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents. Ensure no liquids enter the unit's openings.

4.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the MPA40BT-Pro in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is advisable to fully charge the battery before long-term storage and to periodically recharge it every few months to maintain battery health.
