Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your path light:

  1. Prepare the Location: Choose a suitable location in your landscape where the light is desired. Ensure the ground is soft enough to insert the ground spike.
  2. Assemble the Fixture: Attach the ground spike securely to the base of the light fixture. Ensure the blue tulip glass shade is properly seated and secured to the top of the fixture.
  3. Insert Ground Spike: Carefully push the ground spike into the soil until the fixture is stable and at the desired height. Do not force or hammer the fixture.
  4. Wire Connection: Connect the pre-wired UL Listed Direct Burial Wire/Cable from the fixture to your 12V landscape lighting system's main low-voltage cable. Use appropriate waterproof connectors (not included) to ensure a secure and weather-resistant connection. Bury the wires according to local electrical codes.
  5. Install Bulb: Insert a 20W 12V JC type bulb (not included) into the socket. Ensure the bulb is seated correctly.
  6. Test: Restore power to the landscape lighting system and test the light.

Operating Instructions

The Dabmar LV114-ABZ-BLUE Path Light operates as part of a 12V landscape lighting system. Once properly installed and connected to a power source, the light will illuminate when power is supplied to the circuit.

  • Power On/Off: Control the light by turning on or off the main power supply to your landscape lighting system, typically via a transformer or timer.
  • Bulb Replacement: To replace the bulb, ensure power is off. Carefully remove the glass shade, then remove the old bulb and insert a new 20W 12V JC type bulb. Reattach the shade securely.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your path light:

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the glass shade and brass fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish or glass.
