Model: IKON LED

1. Introduction

The ADJ IKON LED is a high-output, single Gobo Projector designed for professional lighting applications. It features a bright 60W (7500K) white LED light source and high-quality optics to ensure crisp, clear projection of custom or included gobos. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your IKON LED projector.

Key features include adjustable LED brightness, gobo rotation control, and the ability to use custom gobos. The unit also comes with three interchangeable lenses to achieve different beam angles, offering versatility for various projection needs.

2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury:

  • Ensure the power supply voltage matches the voltage requirements of the fixture.
  • Disconnect from main power before performing any service or maintenance.
  • Do not operate the fixture if the power cord is damaged.
  • Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source.
  • Do not operate in wet or excessively humid environments.
  • Ensure proper ventilation; do not block ventilation openings.
  • This fixture is for indoor use only.

3. Package Contents

Upon opening the packaging, verify that all components are present and in good condition:

  • ADJ IKON LED Gobo Projector
  • Power Cord (IEC AC)
  • Wireless RF Remote Control
  • 4 x Metal Gobo Patterns
  • 3 x Interchangeable Lenses (25, 32, 43 degrees)

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the supplied IEC AC power cord to the IEC AC outlet located on the side of the fixture. The IKON LED supports daisy-chaining power for up to 4 units at 120V or 7 units at 230V. Always ensure the total current draw does not exceed the circuit breaker's rating.

4.3 Gobo Installation and Replacement

The IKON LED includes four replaceable metal gobo patterns. Custom gobos can also be inserted. The gobo size is 54mm, with a viewable size of 33mm. To replace a gobo, carefully open the gobo holder mechanism, insert the desired gobo, and secure it.

4.4 Lens Installation and Selection

The projector comes with three interchangeable lenses to achieve beam angles of 25, 32, or 43 degrees. To change the lens, unscrew the current lens assembly from the front of the projector and screw in the desired lens. Select the lens that best suits your projection distance and desired coverage area.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On/Off

Once connected to power, the unit will power on. There is no separate power switch on the unit itself; power is controlled by connecting or disconnecting the IEC power cord, or via the power source it is connected to.

5.2 Adjusting Brightness and Rotation

On the rear panel of the IKON LED, you will find adjustable knobs for dimmer control and gobo rotation speed. Turn the dimmer knob to adjust the intensity of the LED output. Turn the rotate knob to control the speed and direction of the gobo rotation.

5.3 Manual Focus

The IKON LED features manual focus. Rotate the lens assembly at the front of the projector until the projected image is sharp and clear at your desired projection distance.

5.4 Using the Wireless RF Remote Control

The included wireless RF remote control allows for convenient adjustment of brightness and gobo rotation from a distance. Refer to the remote control's specific instructions for pairing and function details.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your IKON LED projector.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the fixture with a soft, dry cloth. For the lens and optical components, use a lens cleaning solution and a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optics. Ensure the fixture is powered off and cool before cleaning.
  • Gobo Replacement: Replace gobos as needed. Handle gobos carefully to avoid fingerprints or damage.
  • Ventilation: Ensure ventilation openings are free from dust and debris to maintain proper airflow and prevent overheating. The low heat output of the LED contributes to its long lifespan.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your IKON LED projector, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Check that the power cord is securely connected to both the fixture and a live power outlet.
    • Verify the power outlet is functioning correctly.
    • Ensure no circuit breakers have tripped.
  • No Light Output:
    • Confirm the dimmer knob is not set to minimum brightness.
    • Check if the LED has failed (unlikely for new units, but possible over time).
  • Blurry Projection:
    • Adjust the manual focus ring on the lens until the image is sharp.
    • Ensure the correct lens is installed for your projection distance.
  • Gobo Not Rotating:
    • Check the gobo rotation knob on the rear panel.
    • Ensure the gobo is correctly seated in its holder and not obstructed.

If problems persist, contact ADJ Products customer support for further assistance.
