3. Installation Guide
This section provides instructions for connecting your Brondell Cypress Countertop Water Filtration System. The HF-32 filter is installed internally within the Cypress system, and its replacement is covered in the Maintenance section.

Step-by-Step Connection:
- Remove Faucet Aerator: Locate and remove the original aerator from your faucet.
- Install Diverter: Insert the rubber washer into the threaded side of the provided diverter. Connect the diverter to the faucet. Use one of the three provided adapters if the diverter does not thread directly onto the faucet. Hand tighten to secure; do not overtighten.

- Connect Tubing to Diverter: Insert one end of the white tubing into the gray quick connection on the diverter.
- Remove Elbow Plug: Locate the gray plug in the elbow on the back of the Cypress unit. Using the tool found inside the lid of the Cypress, press down on the ring above the elbow and pull the plug out.
- Connect Tubing to Cypress: Insert the open side of the white tubing into the elbow on the Cypress unit.
- Position System: Move the Cypress system over the sink.
- Flush System: Point the diverter switch up to the faucet. Turn on the cold water and point the diverter switch to the white tubing. Press the button on top of the Cypress to dispense water into the sink. Let the system run for 10 minutes to flush the system and activate the filters.
- Complete Flush: After 10 minutes, press the button to stop the water. Point the diverter back to the faucet and turn off the cold water.
Your Brondell Cypress Water Filtration System is now installed and ready for use.
4. Operation
Operating your Brondell Cypress system is straightforward:
- Dispensing Water: Ensure the diverter switch on your faucet is set to direct water to the Cypress system. Press the dispense button located on the top of the Cypress unit to start the flow of filtered water.
- Stopping Water: Press the dispense button again to stop the flow of filtered water.

5. Maintenance and Filter Replacement
Regular filter replacement is essential to maintain optimal water quality and system performance. The Cypress system features a convenient change indicator to alert you when a new filter is needed.
Filter Lifespan:
- Composite Plus Filter (HF-31) and Carbon Block Filter (HF-33): Replace every 6 months.
- Nanotrap Filter (HF-32): Replace once a year (12 months).
Replacing the HF-32 Nanotrap Filter:

- Turn off the water supply to the Cypress system.

- Twist and pull out the old HF-32 filter.

- Close the unit housing and restore water supply.
