3. Safety Information

Always ensure the main heating system is turned off before attempting any installation or maintenance.

This device is intended for domestic heating systems. Do not use for purposes other than those specified.

Installation should be performed by a qualified professional if you are unsure.

Before purchase and installation, verify compatibility with existing heating system components.

4. Installation

The thermostatic radiator head is designed to be installed on thermostatic valve bodies.

4.1. Compatibility

The T3001W0 is compatible with Honeywell valve bodies (from 1995 onwards), Braukmann, MNG, Heimeier, and Oventrop (from 1999 onwards) valves, and compact radiators with MNG or Heimeier valves.

Honeywell Home radiator heads with M30 x 1.5 connection are suitable for all thermostatic valve bodies and internal cartridges with M30 x 1.5 connection and a stroke of 11.5 mm.

Heads with DA connection are compatible with Danfoss thermostatic valves and cartridges.

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Ensure the heating system is depressurized and cool.
  2. Remove any existing radiator head by unscrewing or unclipping it.
  3. Position the T3001W0 head onto the thermostatic valve body.
  4. Secure the head by tightening the connection ring. Ensure it is hand-tightened firmly but do not overtighten.
  5. Once installed, the heating system can be repressurized and turned on.

5. Operation

The T3001W0 thermostatic radiator head allows you to set the desired room temperature.

5.1. Temperature Setting

Rotate the head to align the desired temperature setting with the indicator mark. The temperature range is from 6°C to 28°C.

  • Setting "0" or "*" (snowflake symbol): This position typically indicates frost protection (around 6°C) to prevent pipes from freezing.
  • Higher numbers (e.g., 1 to 5 or specific temperature markings): Correspond to increasing room temperatures.

The liquid sensor inside the head reacts to the ambient room temperature, adjusting the valve to maintain the set temperature.

5.2. Energy Saving Tips

  • Do not cover the thermostatic head with curtains or furniture, as this can impair its ability to sense the room temperature accurately.
  • Set different temperatures for different rooms based on usage.
  • Lower the temperature setting when rooms are unoccupied for extended periods.

6. Maintenance

The Honeywell Home T3001W0 thermostatic radiator head requires minimal maintenance.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the connection for any signs of leakage or damage.
  • Functionality: Ensure the head rotates smoothly and the temperature settings are clearly visible.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Radiator remains coldThermostatic head set too low or valve stuck closed.Increase the temperature setting. Gently tap the valve body to free a stuck pin. Ensure the heating system is active.
