Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee machine. Always unplug the machine and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

  • Remove the filter basket and reusable filter. Discard used coffee grounds and rinse the filter and basket under running water.
  • Empty and rinse the thermal carafe. Clean the interior with a bottle brush if necessary.
  • Wipe the exterior surfaces of the coffee machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  • Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before reassembling or storing.

6.2 Descaling

Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, descaling should be performed regularly (e.g., every 1-3 months) to prevent mineral buildup.

  1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions (e.g., citric acid solution or commercial descaler).
  2. Pour the descaling solution into the water tank.
  3. Place the empty thermal carafe under the coffee outlet.
  4. Start a brewing cycle. Allow the solution to run through the machine.
  5. After the cycle, discard the solution from the carafe.
