Setting the Programmable Timer (Auto Function)
The programmable timer allows you to set the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time.

- To turn off the warming plate before the 4-hour period, press the POWER/BREW button.
Maintenance
Daily Cleaning
- Always unplug the coffee maker before cleaning and allow it to cool completely.
- Discard used coffee grounds and filter.
- Wash the glass carafe, permanent filter, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. These parts are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker, warming plate, and control panel with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Do not immerse the coffee maker in water or any other liquid.
Descaling (Clean Function)
Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting its performance. The "CLEAN" function helps remove these deposits. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Remove the chlorine filter from the water reservoir before descaling.
- Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water. For example, for a 12-cup cycle, use 4 cups of vinegar and 8 cups of water.
- Place the empty filter basket (without coffee or filter) and the empty glass carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the CLEAN button. The "CLEAN" indicator light will illuminate, and the descaling cycle will begin.
- Allow the cycle to complete. The coffee maker will pause periodically during the cycle to allow the cleaning solution to soak.
- Once the cycle is finished, discard the vinegar solution from the carafe.
- Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, cold water only to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste or odor.
- Reinsert the chlorine filter after rinsing is complete.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your coffee maker, refer to the following table for common problems and solutions:

| Coffee is too weak or too strong. | Incorrect coffee-to-water ratio; incorrect brew strength setting. | Adjust amount of coffee grounds; select desired brew strength using the STRENGTH button. |
| Coffee overflows from filter basket. | Too much coffee grounds; filter basket not seated correctly; clogged filter. | Reduce coffee grounds; ensure filter basket is properly inserted; clean filter or use a new paper filter. |
| Coffee tastes bad. | Mineral buildup; stale coffee; unclean carafe. | Perform descaling cycle; use fresh coffee; clean carafe thoroughly. |
| Carafe drips when pouring. | Carafe lid not properly aligned or damaged. | Ensure carafe lid is securely and correctly placed. If damaged, replace carafe. |
