2. Safety Information

3. Package Contents

Upon unpacking your NuWave Precision Induction Cooktop, please verify that all components are present and in good condition. The standard package typically includes:

4. Setup

Unpacking:

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials from the cooktop.
  2. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Do not use if damaged.
  3. Retain packaging for future storage or shipping, if necessary.

Cookware Compatibility:

The NuWave PIC requires induction-compatible cookware. This typically includes cookware made of cast iron, enameled iron, or magnetic stainless steel. To test if your cookware is compatible, simply hold a magnet to the bottom of the pan. If the magnet sticks firmly, the pan is suitable for induction cooking.

5. Operating Instructions

The NuWave PIC features intuitive digital controls for easy operation.

Basic Operation:

  1. Place induction-compatible cookware centrally on the cooktop surface.
  2. Press the Start button to turn on the unit. The display will illuminate.
  3. Select your desired temperature using the + and - buttons, or choose from the pre-programmed settings (Low, Med Low, Med, Med High, High, Max/Sear).
  4. The cooktop will begin heating. The display will show the current temperature.
  5. To pause cooking, press the Pause/Clear button. Press again to resume.
  6. To turn off the unit, press and hold the Pause/Clear button until the display turns off.

Temperature Control:

The NuWave PIC offers precise temperature control with 52 settings ranging from 100°F to 575°F, adjustable in 10-degree increments. You can also use the 6 pre-programmed temperature settings:

Programmable Stage Cooking:

The NuWave PIC allows for programmable stage cooking, enabling you to set multiple temperature and time stages for a single cooking process. This feature has up to 100 hours of program memory.

  1. Press the Prog button.
  2. Set the desired temperature and time for the first stage using the respective buttons.
  3. Press Prog again to move to the next stage and repeat the process.
  4. Press Start to begin the programmed cooking cycle.

Wattage Settings:

The NuWave PIC Flex offers three wattage settings: 600, 900, and 1300 watts. This allows for versatile use in various power environments, including dorms, RVs, or campsites where power supply might be less than ideal.

The intuitive digital controls allow you to adjust time and temperature settings at any point during cooking, providing immediate response and flexibility.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NuWave PIC.

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Always unplug the cooktop and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the ceramic glass surface with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive ceramic cooktop cleaner can be used.
  3. Wipe the control panel and exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
  4. Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly dry before storing or next use.

If you encounter issues with your NuWave PIC, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
