4. Setup
Follow these steps to prepare your heat press for first use:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the heat press from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for potential future transport or returns.
- Placement: Place the heat press on a sturdy, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for ventilation and safe operation.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a standard 110V electrical outlet.
- Initial Burn-off: Before first use, it is recommended to turn on the machine and let it heat up for approximately 45 minutes to an hour to burn off any manufacturing odors. Operate in a well-ventilated area during this process.

5. Operating Instructions
The Fancierstudio Power Heat Press features electronic time and heat control for precise settings.
- Power On: Flip the red power switch to the 'ON' position. The digital display will illuminate.
- Set Temperature: Use the temperature control buttons (up/down arrows) on the digital panel to set your desired temperature. The temperature range is 0-500°F.
- Set Time: Use the time control buttons (up/down arrows) to set your desired pressing time. The time range is 0-999 seconds.
- Adjust Pressure: The pressure is adjustable via a knob located on the top of the machine. Turn clockwise for more pressure, counter-clockwise for less. Test pressure on a scrap material before applying to your final product.
- Pre-heat: Allow the machine to reach the set temperature. The display will indicate when the target temperature is achieved.
- Place Material: Open the heat press by lifting the handle. Place your material (e.g., T-shirt) on the silicon gel base board. Position your transfer design on the material.
- Apply Teflon Sheet: Cover the transfer and material with the included Teflon sheet to prevent sticking and protect the heating platen.
- Press: Bring the heating platen down by pulling the handle firmly until it locks into place. The timer will automatically start counting down.
- Release: Once the timer alarms, lift the handle to open the press. Carefully remove your material.
- Power Off: When finished, turn off the power switch and unplug the machine. Allow it to cool completely before storage.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the machine is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning. Wipe the heating platen with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Teflon Sheet: Regularly inspect the Teflon sheet for wear and tear. Replace if damaged to ensure optimal transfer quality and protection for the platen.
- Silicon Pad: The silicon gel base board is designed for easy replacement if needed. It is lightly glued for this purpose.
