Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Seiko SQ772G Digital Radio Clock. This compact and modern device features a clear digital display, an automatic night light, radio functionality, and a timer. Please read this manual thoroughly before using your clock to ensure proper function and longevity.
Setup
Battery Installation
The Seiko SQ772G requires two AAA batteries for operation. These batteries are included with your purchase. To install:
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the clock.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Once batteries are installed, the digital display should activate.
Automatic Time Synchronization (Radio Wave Reception)
This clock automatically receives radio waves to set and maintain precise time. For optimal reception, place the clock in a location free from interference from other electronic devices or large metal objects. The clock will attempt to synchronize with the nearest standard time radio transmitter.

Operating Instructions
Digital Display
The clock features a clear digital display that shows the current time, date, and temperature. The entire LCD screen is designed for easy readability.

Night Light Function
The clock is equipped with an automatic night light. When the clock's cover is open and the surrounding environment becomes sufficiently dark, the display will automatically illuminate with a soft glow. To temporarily brighten the display further, press the snooze button.

Disabling Automatic Night Light
To turn off the automatic night light function, simply close the clock's cover. The automatic illumination feature will be deactivated when the cover is closed.

Radio Functionality
The clock includes a radio function, allowing you to listen to your preferred radio stations. Use the dedicated controls on the device to tune to stations and adjust the volume.
Timer Functionality
An integrated timer function allows you to set a specific duration after which the night light will automatically turn off. Consult the clock's controls for setting and activating the timer.
Note on Alarm Function
Please note: This Seiko SQ772G model does not include an alarm clock function.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the clock, gently wipe its surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish or internal components.
Battery Replacement
When the display dims, the night light becomes weak, or the clock's functions become erratic, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup' section. Always replace both AAA batteries simultaneously with new ones. Dispose of old batteries according to local regulations.
Troubleshooting
- No Display or Dim Display: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Incorrect Time: Ensure the clock is placed in an area with good radio wave reception. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference. Allow time for the clock to synchronize automatically.
- Night Light Not Activating: Verify that the clock's cover is open and the ambient light is sufficiently dark for the automatic illumination feature to engage. Check battery level.
- Radio Not Functioning: Check battery power. Ensure the clock is not in an area with poor radio signal.
