This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sony CMTSBT100 Micro Music System. This compact audio system features Bluetooth and NFC connectivity for wireless audio streaming, a CD player, AM/FM radio, and a USB port for digital media playback. Setup
1. Unpacking and Component Check
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:
- Main Unit (CMTSBT100)
- Two Speaker Units
- Remote Control
- Power Cord
- AM Loop Antenna
- FM Wire Antenna
- AA Batteries for Remote Control (x2)
2. Speaker Connection
Connect the speaker wires from each speaker unit to the corresponding speaker terminals on the rear of the main unit. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) for optimal sound quality. The CMTSBT100 uses proprietary 4.2mm connectors for speaker wires.

3. Antenna Connection
Connect the supplied AM loop antenna and FM wire antenna to their respective jacks on the rear of the main unit. Position the antennas for best reception.
4. Power Connection
Plug the power cord into the AC inlet on the main unit, then into a wall outlet. The system will enter standby mode.
5. Initial Setup
Upon first power-on, you may be prompted to set the clock. Follow the on-screen instructions or refer to the full user manual for detailed clock setting procedures.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the POWER button on the main unit or remote control to turn the system on or off (standby mode).
2. Bluetooth and NFC Connectivity
The system supports wireless audio streaming via Bluetooth and one-touch pairing with NFC-compatible devices.
- NFC Pairing: Touch your NFC-compatible smartphone or tablet to the N-Mark on the main unit. Follow the prompts on your device to establish a Bluetooth connection.
- Manual Bluetooth Pairing: Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly until "BLUETOOTH" appears on the display. On your audio device, enable Bluetooth and search for "CMTSBT100". Select it to pair.
- Streaming: Once paired, audio from your device will play through the system. Adjust volume on both the system and your device.
3. CD Playback
The system can play audio CDs and data CDs containing MP3 files.
- Press the FUNCTION button to select "CD".
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place a CD with the label side up in the tray and press OPEN/CLOSE again to close it.
- Playback will start automatically. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, STOP, SKIP, and SEARCH buttons for control.
4. USB Playback
Connect a USB storage device containing MP3 files to the USB port on the front of the main unit.
- Press the FUNCTION button to select "USB".
- The system will read the files on the USB device.
- Use the navigation buttons to select folders and tracks. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback.
5. AM/FM Radio
Listen to your favorite radio stations.
- Select Band: Press the FUNCTION button to select "TUNER FM" or "TUNER AM".
- Manual Tuning: Use the TUNING +/- buttons to manually tune to a station.
- Automatic Tuning: Press and hold the TUNING +/- buttons to automatically scan for the next available station.
- Preset Stations: Save your favorite stations using the PRESET buttons. Refer to the full manual for detailed instructions on setting and recalling presets.
6. Audio In
Connect external audio devices (e.g., an MP3 player, turntable with pre-amp) using a 3.5mm stereo mini-plug cable to the AUDIO IN jack on the front of the main unit.
- Connect your external device to the AUDIO IN jack.
- Press the FUNCTION button to select "AUDIO IN".
- Start playback on your external device. Adjust volume on both the system and your device.

Maintenance

- CD Not Playing/Reading: Ensure the CD is clean and free of scratches. Insert the CD correctly with the label side up.

- Poor Radio Reception: Adjust the position of the AM loop and FM wire antennas. Move the system away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.
