Setup and Assembly

Before operating the jack, ensure all components are present and properly assembled. Refer to the packing list for verification.

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. Do not use the jack if any damage is observed.
  2. Component Check: Verify that all parts, including the main jack body, handle, and any small hardware, are accounted for.
  3. Wheel Installation: Attach the locking wheels to the designated points on the jack base. Ensure they are securely fastened to provide stability and mobility.
  4. Handle Assembly: Insert the operating handle into its receptacle. Ensure it is firmly seated.
  5. Initial Inspection: Before first use, check all bolts, nuts, and pins to ensure they are tight and secure. Verify that the hydraulic system operates smoothly without leaks.

Always operate the jack on a flat, level, and solid surface capable of supporting the jack and the lifted vehicle's weight.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your ATV/Motorcycle Jack:

  1. Positioning the Vehicle: Ensure the ATV or motorcycle is stable and centered on the jack's lifting platforms. The vehicle's center of gravity should be directly over the jack for maximum stability.
  2. Lifting the Vehicle:
    • Close the release valve by turning the handle clockwise until it is snug. Do not overtighten.
    • Pump the handle up and down to raise the lifting platforms. Continue pumping until the vehicle reaches the desired height.
    • Once the desired height is achieved, engage the 5-position automatic side safety brakes. This is crucial for preventing accidental lowering. Ensure the safety locks are fully engaged before working under the vehicle.
  3. Lowering the Vehicle:
    • Slightly raise the jack to disengage the safety brakes.
    • Slowly turn the release valve counter-clockwise to gradually lower the vehicle. Control the descent speed by adjusting how much the valve is opened.
    • Once the vehicle is fully lowered, remove the jack.
  4. Mobility: The jack features locking wheels. Engage the wheel locks when the jack is stationary and disengage them when moving the jack.

Safety Precaution: Never exceed the 1500-pound load capacity. Always use appropriate safety stands or blocks in conjunction with the jack when working under a lifted vehicle.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your LARIN ATVJ-3 Jack.

  • Cleaning: Keep the jack clean and free of dirt, grease, and debris. Wipe down all surfaces after each use.
  • Lubrication: Periodically lubricate all pivot points, hinges, and moving parts with a light machine oil. This helps ensure smooth operation and prevents rust.
  • Hydraulic Fluid: Check the hydraulic fluid level periodically. If low, replenish with a high-quality hydraulic jack oil. Consult a qualified technician if you suspect a leak.
  • Inspection: Before each use, inspect the jack for any signs of damage, wear, or loose components. Pay close attention to welds, hydraulic cylinder, hoses, and wheels. Do not use if any defects are found.
  • Storage: Store the jack in a dry, clean area. Lower the jack completely before storage to relieve pressure on the hydraulic system.
