Setup: Programming Your Remote

To program your new Viper 7345V remote control to your existing Viper system, follow these steps carefully. Ensure the system's Valet/Program switch is plugged into the BLUE port before beginning.

  1. Door: Open a vehicle door.
  2. Key: Turn the vehicle's ignition key to the ON position.
  3. Choose Channel: Within 5 seconds, press and release the Valet/Program button the number of times corresponding to the desired channel (see table below). After selecting the channel, press the Valet/Program button once more and hold it. The system's LED will flash the same number of times as the selected channel, and the siren will chirp to confirm the selection. DO NOT release the Valet/Program button yet.
  4. Transmit: While still holding the Valet/Program button, press the desired button on the new transmitter (remote control). The unit will chirp to confirm that the transmitter has been successfully programmed to the receiver.
  5. Release: Once the code is learned, you may release the Valet/Program button and remove the ignition key.

  • Lock Button (🔒): Press to arm your vehicle's security system and lock the doors. The LCD will display a locked icon and provide confirmation.
  • Unlock Button (🔓): Press to disarm your vehicle's security system and unlock the doors. The LCD will display an unlocked icon and provide confirmation.
  • AUX Button: This button controls auxiliary functions, which may vary depending on your system's installation. Common uses include trunk release or other custom features. Refer to your system's owner's guide for specific AUX function details.
  • Remote Start/Star Button (): Press and hold to remotely start your vehicle (if equipped with remote start). The LCD will show engine status and provide confirmation.
  • LCD Display: The LCD screen provides visual feedback on the vehicle's status, including door lock status, alarm armed/disarmed status, remote start status, and battery level.

Maintenance: Battery Replacement

The Viper 7345V remote control is powered by one AAA battery. When the battery level is low, the LCD display may dim or the remote's range may decrease. Replace the battery as follows:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote.
  2. Carefully open the cover using a small flat-head screwdriver or a coin if necessary.
  3. Remove the old AAA battery.
  4. Insert a new AAA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  5. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
