Setup
Unpacking
Carefully remove the subwoofer from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. It is recommended to retain the original packaging materials for potential future transport or service requirements.
Placement
The placement of your subwoofer significantly influences its acoustic performance. Experiment with different locations within your listening environment to achieve the most balanced and impactful bass response. Placing the subwoofer in a corner can often augment bass output, but may also result in an overly resonant or 'boomy' sound, particularly in smaller rooms. Avoid positioning the subwoofer directly against a wall if possible, or maintain a slight distance. For optimal sound integration, consider the 'subwoofer crawl' method: place the subwoofer in your primary listening position, play bass-heavy audio, and move around the room to identify where the bass sounds most natural and even. This location is typically ideal for the subwoofer's permanent placement.
Connections
Before making any connections, ensure that all audio equipment, including the subwoofer, is powered off and unplugged from the AC outlet.
- Line-level Input: Connect an RCA cable from the LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) or Subwoofer Pre-Out jack of your AV receiver or pre-amplifier to the LINE-LEVEL INPUT (L/R) on the subwoofer. If your receiver provides a single LFE output, connect it to the 'L' input of the subwoofer.
- High-level Input: If your amplifier or receiver lacks a dedicated subwoofer output, utilize the HIGH-LEVEL INPUT. Connect speaker wires from the main speaker outputs of your amplifier to the HIGH-LEVEL INPUT terminals on the subwoofer. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). Subsequently, connect your main speakers to the HIGH-LEVEL OUTPUT terminals on the subwoofer.
- Line-level Output: This output facilitates daisy-chaining the audio signal to an additional subwoofer or another amplifier.
After all audio connections are securely made, connect the subwoofer's power cord to the unit and then to a suitable AC power outlet.

Initial Power On
Power on your AV receiver or amplifier first, then activate the subwoofer. Set the subwoofer's power switch to the "ON" position for continuous operation, or to "AUTO" for automatic power management based on audio signal detection.
Operating Controls
The TSW-200 is equipped with several controls on its rear panel, allowing for precise adjustment of its performance to integrate with your audio system and room acoustics.
- Subwoofer Level (Volume): This control adjusts the overall output volume of the subwoofer. Begin with a low setting and gradually increase it until the bass output blends smoothly and naturally with your main speakers.
- Subwoofer Cut-Off Frequency (Crossover): This variable control (ranging from 35Hz to 150Hz) determines the highest frequency the subwoofer will reproduce. Set it to complement the low-frequency capabilities of your main speakers. A common starting point is around 80Hz, but adjustments should be made based on the size and frequency response characteristics of your main speakers.
- Phase Switch (0° / 180°): This switch helps synchronize the subwoofer's sound waves with those of your main speakers. Experiment with both settings (0° and 180°) while listening from your primary position. Select the setting that provides the most impactful, coherent, and integrated bass response.
- Auto On-Off Function: When the power switch is set to "AUTO", the subwoofer will automatically power on upon detecting an audio signal and will enter a low-power standby mode after a period of inactivity. For continuous operation, set the power switch to "ON".
- Wireless Communication Technology (Bluetooth): The subwoofer supports Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming. Refer to your source device's user manual for specific pairing instructions.
- Control Method (Remote): The subwoofer can be operated using a remote control. Ensure a clear line of sight between the remote and the subwoofer's IR receiver for optimal functionality.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your subwoofer.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the cabinet surfaces. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, waxes, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the finish.
- Placement Environment: Do not place the subwoofer in direct sunlight, near heat-emitting appliances, or in areas with high humidity, as these conditions can negatively affect its components and performance.
- Ventilation: Ensure there is adequate air circulation around the rear panel of the subwoofer to prevent overheating. Do not obstruct the rear port or any ventilation openings.
