4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the hedge trimmer is turned off and the trigger is not engaged.
  2. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the tool.
  3. Slide the battery into the tool until it clicks securely into place.
  4. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

4.2. Blade Guard

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Starting the Trimmer

  1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly installed.
  2. Hold the hedge trimmer firmly with both hands.
  3. Press and hold the safety lock-off button (usually located near the main handle).
  4. Squeeze the trigger switch to start the blades. Release the safety lock-off button once the blades are running.

5.2. Using the Rotating Rear Handle

The 180-degree rotating rear handle allows for comfortable operation when trimming at different angles (e.g., vertical sides of hedges). To adjust the handle:

  1. Ensure the trimmer is off and the blades have stopped moving.
  2. Locate the handle rotation button (typically a white button near the rear handle).
  3. Press and hold the button.
  4. Rotate the rear handle to the desired position (0, 90, or 180 degrees).
  5. Release the button to lock the handle in place. Ensure it is securely locked before resuming operation.

5.3. Trimming Techniques

  • Side Trimming: Hold the trimmer with the blade parallel to the hedge side. Move the trimmer in a sweeping motion, cutting from bottom to top.
  • Top Trimming: Hold the trimmer with the blade flat over the top of the hedge. Move steadily across the top, ensuring an even cut.
  • Avoid Overloading: Do not force the trimmer through thick branches. If the blades bog down, reduce the cutting speed or use a different tool for larger branches.

7. Troubleshooting
