What's in the Box

Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset.
  2. Connect the battery pack plug securely into the jack inside the compartment.
  3. Place the battery pack with the label facing up.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Base Unit Connection

  1. Plug the small end of the AC power adapter into the power jack on the back of the telephone base.
  2. Plug the large end of the AC power adapter into a wall outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
  3. Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the telephone jack on the back of the telephone base.
  4. Plug the other end of the telephone line cord into a telephone wall jack.

3. Handset Charging

Place each handset in its respective charging cradle or the telephone base. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging. Allow the handsets to charge for at least 16 hours before first use for optimal battery performance.

Operating Instructions

Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Press PHONE/FLASH or SPEAKER, then dial the number.
  • To Answer a Call: Press PHONE/FLASH or SPEAKER when the phone rings.
  • To End a Call: Press OFF/CANCEL or place the handset in the cradle.

Digital Answering System

The answering system can record messages when you are away. The message counter on the base unit displays the number of new messages.

  • To Play Messages: Press PLAY/STOP on the base unit.
  • To Delete Current Message: Press DELETE during message playback.
  • To Turn Answering System On/Off: Press ANS ON/OFF on the base unit.

Caller ID/Call Waiting

This phone supports Caller ID and Call Waiting features. Caller ID information will display on the handset screen after the first ring. If you subscribe to Call Waiting, you will hear a tone if another call comes in while you are on the phone. Press PHONE/FLASH to switch between calls.

Handset Speakerphone

To use the speakerphone function during a call, press the SPEAKER button on the handset. Press it again to switch back to the earpiece.

Intercom Function

You can use the handsets to communicate with each other. Press INT on a handset, then dial the number of the desired handset (e.g., 1 or 2). Press OFF/CANCEL to end the intercom call.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Clean the telephone and handsets with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the finish or electrical components.

Battery Care

  • To maintain optimal battery life, fully charge the handsets for 16 hours before initial use.
  • Avoid exposing batteries to extreme temperatures.
  • If the phone will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries from the handsets.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
No dial tone.Ensure the telephone line cord is securely plugged into both the base unit and the wall jack. Check if the AC power adapter is properly connected.
Handset does not charge.Verify the handset is correctly seated in the charging cradle. Clean the charging contacts on both the handset and cradle with a dry cloth. Ensure the power adapter for the base unit is plugged in.
Cannot hear messages on answering system.Adjust the volume on the base unit using the VOLUME + / - buttons. Ensure the answering system is turned ON.
Caller ID not displaying.Ensure you subscribe to Caller ID service from your telephone service provider.
