2. Setup and Assembly

Follow these steps to correctly assemble your Sky-Watcher EQ3-2 Equatorial Mount. Ensure you have a clear, level space for assembly.

2.1. Tripod Assembly

  1. Unfold the aluminum tripod legs and extend them to your desired height. Secure the leg clamps firmly.
  2. Attach the accessory tray to the central spreader bars of the tripod.
  3. Use the integrated spirit level on the tripod to ensure the tripod head is perfectly level.

2.2. Mount Head Attachment

  1. Carefully place the EQ3-2 mount head onto the tripod's mounting bolt.
  2. Secure the mount head to the tripod using the large locking knob or screw.

2.3. Counterweight and Telescope Attachment

  1. Thread the counterweight shaft into the appropriate opening on the mount head.

2.5. Polar Alignment (Initial Setup)
