2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

Your Furby Boom requires 4 AA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the product. Follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of your Furby Boom.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 4 fresh AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

Important: Always use new batteries of the same type. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

2.2 Initial Power-On

After installing batteries, your Furby Boom will typically activate automatically. If not, gently rock or interact with it to wake it up.

2.3 App Download and Connection

To unlock the full interactive experience, download the free Furby Boom app on a compatible mobile device (tablet or smartphone). The app allows for virtual interactions and expands gameplay.

  • Search for "Furby Boom" in your device's app store.
  • Download and install the application.
  • Ensure your device's volume is turned up and place it near your Furby Boom to facilitate communication between the physical toy and the app.

3. Operating Your Furby Boom

3.1 Basic Interactions

Your Furby Boom responds to various physical and auditory stimuli:

  • Virtual Care: Use the app to provide virtual food, check-ups, and showers for your Furby Boom creature.
  • Games: Play various games with your Furby Boom and its virtual Furblings through the app.

Your Furby Boom can remember the name you give it. It can also recognize and remember the names of other Furby Boom figures it encounters, fostering social interactions between multiple units.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean your Furby Boom, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not immerse the toy in water or use harsh cleaning agents, as this can damage the electronic components and fabric.
