Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or future transport.
  2. First Use Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with fresh water to the MAX fill line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process at least two times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  3. Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable surface away from the edge of the counter. Ensure the cord is not dangling where it can be pulled or tripped over.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The cord can be wrapped neatly under the base for hidden storage.

Operating Instructions

  1. Filling the Kettle: Press the lid release button to open the lid. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN line or above the MAX line (1.5 liters / 52 oz). Close the lid securely.
  2. Placing on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
  3. Selecting Temperature: Use the temperature selection dial on the base to choose your desired water temperature. The range is from 122°F (50°C) to 212°F (100°C). Illuminated white LED lights will indicate your selection.
  4. Starting Boil: Press the ON/OFF button. The kettle will begin heating the water to the selected temperature. The temperature gauge will show the water's current temperature.
  5. Automatic Shut-Off: The kettle will automatically turn off once the selected temperature is reached. A chime will sound to indicate completion.
  6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. The soft-grip handle and angled spout are designed for controlled pouring.
  7. Reheating: If the kettle has cooled, simply place it back on the base and press the ON/OFF button to reheat to the last selected temperature, or adjust the temperature as needed.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your electric kettle.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish.
  • Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. This can affect performance.
    1. Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
    2. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
    3. Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
    4. For stubborn deposits, gently scrub the interior with a non-abrasive brush or sponge.
    5. Repeat if necessary.
  • Removable Scale Filter: The filter located inside the spout can be removed for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and gently brush away any deposits. Ensure it is securely re-inserted before use.
  • Storage: Ensure the kettle is clean and dry before storing. The cord can be wrapped under the power base for compact storage.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Kettle does not heat. Not plugged in; power base not connected properly; no water in kettle; kettle not properly seated on base. Ensure power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check that the kettle is correctly placed on the power base. Add water to the kettle.
Water takes too long to boil. Limescale buildup; too much water. Descale the kettle as per the "Maintenance and Cleaning" section. Do not fill above the MAX line.
Kettle turns off before boiling. Temperature setting is too low; limescale buildup. Adjust the temperature dial to a higher setting (e.g., 100°C/212°F for full boil). Descale the kettle.
Lid does not open/close smoothly. Debris or mineral buildup around the hinge. Clean around the lid mechanism. If the issue persists, contact customer service.
