Introduction

The SmallRig Super Clamp Mount with Mini Ball Head Mount is a versatile accessory designed for attaching various photographic and videographic equipment to a wide range of surfaces. Constructed from durable aluminum alloy and stainless steel, this clamp kit provides a secure mounting solution for devices weighing up to 1.5kg (3.3lbs). Its adjustable jaw and 360-degree articulating ball head offer flexibility for optimal positioning of your gear.

Setup

  1. Assemble the Ball Head Mount: The ball head mount comes with a 1/4"-20 screw. If you intend to use it with the cold shoe adapter, ensure it is securely attached. If you need to remove the cold shoe adapter, unscrew it from the base of the ball head.
  2. Attach Ball Head to Clamp: The clamp features a 1/4"-20 threaded hole. Screw the ball head mount onto this threaded hole on the clamp. Use the provided hex spanner to tighten the screw for a secure connection.
  3. Adjust the Clamp Jaw: The clamp jaw can be adjusted from 15mm (0.6") to 40mm (1.57") using the T-shape bar. Rotate the T-shape bar to open or close the jaws to fit your desired mounting surface. The jaws are equipped with protective rubber padding to prevent damage.

Operating

  1. Mount Your Device: Attach your monitor, action camera, LED light, microphone, flash, or any other gear with a 1/4" thread to the 1/4"-20 screw on the ball head mount. Ensure it is tightened securely.
  2. Secure the Clamp: Position the clamp on your desired surface (e.g., table, desk, rod, tripod leg). Rotate the T-shape bar to tighten the clamp jaws firmly around the surface. The protective rubber pads will help prevent slippage and damage.
  3. Adjust Viewing Angle: Use the wing nut on the ball head to loosen or tighten the articulation. This allows for 360-degree rotation and tilt, enabling you to achieve the perfect viewing or recording angle. Once adjusted, tighten the wing nut to lock the position.
