4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster oven and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any packing materials, stickers, or labels.
  2. Clean: Wash all removable parts (racks, baking pan, rotisserie accessories, crumb tray) in warm, soapy water. Wipe the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
  3. Placement: Place the toaster oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 4 inches of space on all sides and above). Do not place it directly under cabinets or near flammable materials.
  4. First Use (Burn-Off): Before first use, plug in the oven and turn the temperature knob to 450°F (230°C) and the function knob to 'Bake'. Set the timer for 15 minutes. This helps burn off any manufacturing oils and odors. A slight odor or smoke is normal during this process. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

General Operation:

The toaster oven features four control knobs for precise cooking:

Cooking Functions:

  1. Bake:
    • Place food on the baking pan or appropriate oven-safe dish on the wire rack.
    • Turn the Function knob to 'Bake'.
    • Turn the Temperature knob to the desired temperature.
    • Turn the Timer knob to the desired cooking time. The oven will preheat and begin baking.
  2. Broil:
    • Place food on the baking pan. For best results, position food closer to the top heating elements.
    • Turn the Function knob to 'Broil'.
    • Turn the Temperature knob to 'Broil' (usually 450°F / 230°C).
    • Turn the Timer knob to the desired broiling time. Monitor food closely to prevent burning.
  3. Toast/Bagel:
    • Place bread or bagels directly on the wire rack.
    • Turn the Function knob to 'Toast' or 'Bagel'.
    • Turn the Toast Shade knob to select your desired darkness.
    • Turn the Timer knob past 20 minutes, then back to the desired toast time. The oven will begin toasting.
  4. Rotisserie:
    • Prepare meat (e.g., chicken up to 3.5 lbs) by securing it onto the rotisserie rod with the forks.
    • Insert the rotisserie assembly into the oven's rotisserie slots. Ensure the drip pan is placed below.
    • Turn the Function knob to 'Rotisserie'.
    • Turn the Temperature knob to the recommended temperature for your meat.
    • Turn the Timer knob to the desired cooking time. The rotisserie will begin to turn.
  5. Keep Warm:
    • Place cooked food on the baking pan or oven-safe dish.
    • Turn the Function knob to 'Keep Warm'.
    • Turn the Temperature knob to 'Warm'.
    • Turn the Timer knob to the desired duration or to 'Stay On' for continuous warming.

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your toaster oven.
