  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or toaster in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • Oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
  • Do not operate unattended.

The Breville Bit More Toaster offers intuitive controls for customized toasting. The wide slots accommodate various bread types, from standard slices to thick bagels.

Browning Control Slider & LED Indicator

Adjust your desired browning level using the slider, indicated by the LED lights.

Use the browning control slider on the front of the toaster to select your preferred toast shade, from light (1) to dark (5). The LED indicator lights will illuminate to show the selected setting and will count down during the toasting cycle, providing a visual progress bar.

'A Bit More' Button

If your toast isn't quite done to your liking, simply press the 'A Bit More' button. This will extend the toasting cycle for a short, precise duration without resetting the entire cycle, ensuring you achieve the perfect browning without burning.

Bagel Function

Press the 'Bagel' button for perfect bagels. This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer crust, preventing over-browning of the exterior.

Frozen Function

To toast frozen bread or pastries, insert them into the slots and press the 'Frozen' button. This function automatically adjusts the toasting time to account for the frozen state, ensuring even thawing and toasting.

Cancel Button

To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the 'Cancel' button. The toast will immediately pop up.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your toaster.

Crumb Tray Cleaning

The pull-out crumb tray makes cleaning easy and keeps your countertop tidy.

To clean the crumb tray, simply pull it out from the front of the toaster. Discard accumulated crumbs. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before reinserting. It is recommended to clean the crumb tray regularly to prevent crumb buildup, which can be a fire hazard.

Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the stainless steel finish. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Breville Bit More Toaster, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Toaster not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check your circuit breaker.
  • Toast is unevenly browned: Ensure bread slices are centered in the slots. Different types of bread may require different browning settings.
  • Smoke coming from toaster: Unplug immediately. This is usually due to crumbs or food lodged inside. Clean the crumb tray and gently shake the toaster upside down over a sink to dislodge any remaining debris.
  • Toast not popping up: Press the 'Cancel' button. If the toast still doesn't pop up, carefully unplug the toaster and use non-metallic tongs to retrieve the toast.
