5.1. Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. For best results, rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Add Rice to Inner Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the inner pot.
- Add Water: Add the appropriate amount of water. A general guideline is a 1:1 ratio of rice to water (e.g., 1 cup rice to 1 cup water), but this may vary based on rice type and desired consistency. The inner pot has water level markings for convenience.
- Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it securely into the main unit.
- Close Lid: Close the main lid firmly until it clicks into place.
- Start Cooking: Press the 'COOK' button. The 'COOK' indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the cooking cycle has begun.
- Automatic Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the appliance will automatically switch to the 'WARM' function. The 'COOK' light will turn off, and the 'WARM' light will illuminate.
5.2. Keep Warm Function
The CUCKOO SR-4600 automatically enters the 'WARM' mode after cooking. This function maintains the rice at an optimal serving temperature without overcooking. Do not keep rice in 'WARM' mode for excessively long periods (e.g., more than 12 hours) to preserve taste and texture.
