Installation
The Weiser SmartCode 5 deadbolt is designed for straightforward installation and is compatible with most standard residential door preparations. A Phillips head screwdriver is the only tool typically required.

Operating Instructions
Locking the Door
- From the Exterior (Keypad): Press the Lock button (the 'A' symbol) on the keypad. The deadbolt will extend, securing the door.
- From the Interior (Thumb-turn): Rotate the thumb-turn on the interior assembly to the locked position.
- Auto-Lock Feature: If enabled, the lock will automatically re-lock approximately 30 seconds after being unlocked from the exterior.
Unlocking the Door
- From the Exterior (Keypad): Enter your valid 4-8 digit user code, then press the Lock button. The deadbolt will retract.
- From the Exterior (Key): Insert the physical key into the cylinder and turn it to the unlock position.

Programming User Codes
