The Antari ANF350 is a water-based effect machine designed to produce a light, hazy smoke, ideal for enhancing lighting effects in various environments. It features an advanced pumping and fan system for efficient fluid consumption and includes built-in DMX control capabilities.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the product or property.

  • Always disconnect the power cord before cleaning, servicing, or when the machine is not in use.
  • This machine is designed for indoor use only. Do not expose to rain or moisture.
  • Use only Antari-approved water-based fog fluid. Using other types of fluid may cause damage to the machine and void the warranty.
  • Do not operate the machine without fluid. Ensure the fluid reservoir is adequately filled.
  • Keep the machine upright during operation. The spill-proof reservoir helps prevent leaks, but proper orientation is recommended.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine. Do not block air vents.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not point the output nozzle directly at people or animals.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the ANF350 from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.

5.2 Fluid Installation

  1. Ensure the machine is powered off and unplugged.
  2. Locate the fluid reservoir cap on the top of the unit.
  3. Unscrew the cap and carefully pour Antari-approved water-based fog fluid into the reservoir. Do not overfill.
  4. Securely replace the cap.

5.3 Placement

Place the ANF350 on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the machine for ventilation and that the output nozzle is directed away from people, animals, and sensitive equipment. The unit can be operated in a standard upright position or laid flat using optional feet (if included).

5.4 Power Connection

Connect the provided power cord to the power input on the rear panel of the ANF350, then plug the other end into a grounded electrical outlet of the correct voltage.

5.5 DMX Setup (Optional)

If using DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the DMX IN port on the ANF350. If daisy-chaining multiple DMX devices, connect from the DMX OUT of the ANF350 to the DMX IN of the next device. Set the DMX address using the DIP switches on the rear panel according to your DMX controller's instructions.

6. Operation

6.1 Powering On

After connecting power and fluid, flip the main power switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. The machine will begin its warm-up cycle. The status indicator will typically illuminate to show heating progress. Once ready, the indicator will change (e.g., turn solid green).

6.2 Manual Control

Once the machine is ready, use the 'Smoke' knob to adjust the fog output intensity and the 'Fan' knob to control the fan speed, which affects the dispersion of the fog.

6.3 DMX Control

When a DMX signal is received, the ANF350 automatically turns on and begins heating. You can then control the fog output and fan speed via your DMX controller, using the assigned DMX channels. Refer to your DMX controller's manual and the ANF350's DMX chart (usually found in a separate DMX supplement or on the unit itself) for specific channel assignments.

6.4 Powering Off

To power off the machine, simply flip the main power switch to the 'OFF' position. If operating under DMX control, the machine will initiate a self-cleaning process and then enter a 'sleep' mode when the DMX signal is removed.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ANF350 Fog Machine.

7.1 Cleaning

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Internal System: The ANF350 features an automatic self-cleaning process when the DMX signal is removed. For extended periods of non-use (more than 30 days), it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle using Antari-approved cleaning fluid or distilled water. Operate the machine with cleaning fluid for a few minutes, then empty the reservoir and store.

7.2 Fluid Replacement

Always ensure sufficient fluid is in the reservoir before operation. If the fluid level is low, refill it following the instructions in Section 5.2. Do not mix different types of fog fluid.

7.3 Storage

When storing the machine for an extended period, ensure the fluid reservoir is empty or contains cleaning fluid after a cleaning cycle. Store the unit in a dry, dust-free environment.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ANF350, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
